This image was taken in the Patan district of Kathmandu, Nepal. I was walking around during sunset, knowing that the golden hour light would enhance the texture of this magnificent and ancient city. The city, with its many Buddhist temples, is decorated with traditional buddhist prayer wheels. Prayer wheels are found along the perimeter of these temples and are meant to be rotated clockwise as one circumvents the temple in prayer.
