Buddy is a 7 year-old ShihTzu Rescue, surrendered by his owner when he was 3, after a neighbor called the shelter. Buddy was imprisoned in that horrible environment along with 29 other dogs who were starving to death and in poor health. He was in bad shape when the Shelter got him...6 pounds, with several medical issues. His hair was so matted they had to pull some of it off his body, leaving sores and bruises. When I showed up at the Shelter, after searching for it for 3 weeks, I found Buddy who had BEEN THERE for the same 3 weeks and nobody had taken him! He crept up on my shoulder and stayed there, as if his life depended on it. He definitely chose ME! Now he's 9 pounds, having gained half his body weight within the first year with me. He's a happy, healthy little guy, who will wear anything his Mom puts on him, except sun glasses. He put his paws down on that one!
