I quickly shot this street scene September 2, 2020 as a passenger riding in our car while my husband was driving through our town. Last year I had not noticed all of the details that I had missed when shooting this drive by until I really looked at the picture this evening. I had not seen earlier the pretty hanging flowers peeking over the huge mound of dirt, nor did I see the variations of color in the dirt ranging from dark brown to light brown in back of the fellow who was part of a crew fixing the water works. Also missed the part of the sign next to the American flag that said "Building a Better Community" that fits this image and used it for the caption. It is just a simple story of community life, nothing fancy, but an American experience caught in a moment of time through the car window.
