Buriganga pollution

Children collect plastic bottle from polluted river Buriganga in Dhaka. The River Buriganga, which runs past Dhaka City, is at present one of the most polluted rivers in Bangladesh. The City of Dhaka discharges about 4,500 tons of solid waste every day and most of it is released into the Buriganga. The water of this river is now so polluted that all fish have died, and increasing filth and human waste have turned it an inferno.
