I had taken this image during a conservation photography trip out west in Mesa Verde National Park. I looked off a cliff drop off and saw a new perspective of the remnants of a forest fire, and I wanted to show that they are more than a vast two dimensional perspective that we typically see on land. They also expand upwards releasing smoke and destroying what used to be natural.
