Burrowing Owl Hiding in Plain Sight

Burrowing Owls can be found near the Salton Sea and Sony Bono National Wildlife Refuge due in large part to conservation efforts by farmers, the state of California and the nearby refuge. These all owls typically can be found sitting near the entrance to their burrows until evening, when they hunt for food.
