Burst into gorgeous bloom
Mai Po Nature Reserve is the most important nature reserve in Hong Kong. It was established in 1984 and covers an area of 380 hectares, including 300 hectares of mangrove forest. The main objects of protection are mangrove, rare animal and plant resources. It was listed as an important international wetland in Ramsar in 1995, and entry is prohibited without permission. Managed by WWF.
