Buses on the road from Navojoa to Tijuana
Migrants from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatamala (also known as “The Northern Triangle”), sit on a bus in Navojoa headed for Tijuana. International media was covering this migration--CNN, New York Times, and others. Fearing bad publicity if there was to be a migrant incident during the midterm elections in the US, the Mexican government stepped in to provide safe passage across the narco-states of Sonora and Sinaloa after 100 migrants were kidnapped in the state of Puebla.
