I saw the Monarch butterfly drinking from the flower as I walked inside from school. After greeting my mom, I checked out the window to see if it was still there. Then I grabbed the camera and headed out to catch the insect in action. I tried very hard to photogrpah it with its wings open, waiting for nearly forty minutes, but this was the best picture I got: the butterfly sucking the sweet nectar from the purple flower.
