A sustainable travel project looks like beauty in the unexpected. We biked through a town via the Shimanami Kaido bikeway on Innoshima island when we came across fields of cabbage by the street. It's wonderful how beautiful cabbages can be, especially contrasted against the typical rows-of-flowers picturesque archetype. Also, the autumn foliage across the hills in the background is a nice touch. It goes to show that one doesn't need to travel by car or train to experience something inspiring. Traveling by bike has given me the ability to capture sights and visit locales that I would have otherwise never experienced.
