Cabecar Child
Every year we work as volunteers bringing material and school uniforms to the Cabecar Indigenous communities in Talamanca, Costa Rica They are children who have no resources. Every year we climbed the mountain, this year it rained so much that we could only reach a certain point and the children came down to greet us. It was a Saturday at noon, when we saw a father with his son full of blood. The child received a Machete wound in the arm while working. They started down the mountain on Friday at 4 pm and it was Saturday at noon and they still had hours of walking to find medical help. When we saw that, we immediately picked up the child and was taken to a health care facility. Thank God the child was saved.
