Cambodian women who lost their farmland to a large sugarcane corporation make fruit offerings to spirits and pray for compensation outside the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh earlier this year. The country is rife with similar cases of land grabbing and hundreds of thousands of Cambodians have been displaced since the government started selling off land for development in the 1990s.
