Camogli Fisherman

Camogli, a small sea port located on the west side of the peninsula of Portofino in the province of Genoa on the Italian Riviera, once claimed 500 sea captains among its small population. It's economy depends heavily on modern tourism; however fishing remains a way of life and time honored tradition in this town so rooted in its connection with the sea. The photo shows a committed fisherman mending a net in the early morning hours.
