18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Canero Pontoon
This small lake in Northern AZ is too shallow and thatched to fish from her shores. It's not much more than a puddle by comparisons to real lakes. This small pontoon boat left on her shores yielded just the right vehicle to enjoy the lake from the water, fish and watch the world go by. It seemed a fitting solitude and emotion for a world of chaos.
