The long stem and abundant bloom of a canna liily pose a bending risk during the strong winds we have here in Wisconsin. I noticed mine was bending dangerously with a risk of breaking so I gave the canna structural support by placing a metal flower on a rod next to it. The canna's stem was carefully placed between two pedals of the metal flower.
