Xochimilco in Mexico City, is one of the last places in the city that still holds to its natural wetland habitats. It is home to many birds and species like the ajolote. Xochimilco has suffered the city's pollution and has been at risk of disappearing but lately the ecosystem seems to be recovering as more birds come to perch, rest and eat here.
