I snapped this photo prior to President Biden's inauguration. I believe this speaks not only to the American experience at the time but more specifically to the tension the citizens of Washington DC felt. This was a very difficult time and was almost impossible to comprehend that my backyard had been turned into a maze of fences and check points. I still ride my bike along the same path and reflect on the emotions I felt when I saw this with my own eyes.
