Carmel is a textile artist and 3D knit designer from Oakland, California, who uses computer programs, machines, experiments, and hand techniques to create innovative materials, while focussing her research on smart textiles and zero waste. On this series made for my Art of Freelance project I present her work modeled by herself and shot by me. I used my usual colorful and painting-like approach while trying to show both her work and personality.
