"Rath Yatra" is being held for hundreds of years in the small village of Guptipara" of West Bengal.It is a major festival of the Hindus and is centred around the worship of The Lord Jagannath,who was believed to be an incarnation of Lord Krishna.On this auspicious daythe idols of Lord Jagannath,Balaram and Subhadra are brought down from the temple and placed in a grand chariot to be pulled by thousands of devotees.
