Cascading Colloid
This is a photo of material produced from a thyroid gland called colloid. The colloid can produce many different colors and patterns on a glass slide when examined under the microscope. The red blood cells in the background are described as "ghost-like" in that they lose their red color during colloid staining. There are bubbles formed from processing the material and creates a cascading look.
