Cascading feet wetness

Everyone used to play by jumping from rock to rock on a river as kids. It's funny, when the weather is nice and it's a hot summer day. Not that much when it's 28°F , the freezing water is waist height and all the rocks are covered with slippery moss. the only thing that was between me and the composition i had in mind was the small stream i had to cross. I soon found myself with both feet deep in the mud and eventually i traded the sensibility of my toes for some quicks shots (i wanted to get out of the water as soon as possible) before walking back the 1600 ft trail to the car. Even though i could not feel anything down there i managed to drive back home, full heating on and a good tune playing on the radio. field note: buy a pair of hip waders!
