I took this beautiful photo on my way home from Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit during the last few days that my father was succumbing to cancer. I hadn't slept a wink in four straight days while living in at the hospital and care taking for him. During this shot I very well may have been somewhat delusional due to my lack of sleep but I realized quickly amongst the other great reasons to shoot, photography was a great remedy for curing tremendous loss. Being a photographer I couldn't help but notice how beautiful the sunrise was so I found a lovely spot close to home that I could setup at and capture a nice picture that has now became somewhat of a remembrance to my father.
