Celebration in graveyards of Qamsar, Iran

Muslims fast for an entire month, in the holy month of Ramadan. The Fitr celebration marks the end of the fasting month. In Qamsar, a village town near Kashan, the tradition takes people to places where their deceased have been put to rest. They spread blankets, and give offerings of fruit, dates, lemonade and rose water. In fact, Qamsar is the main producer of rose water in Iran, so everywhere you see ewers spreading the scent on passersby. In this picture, one family is sitting on the graveyard site, in the midst of the whole town, praying for the soul of their deceased- and sharing the festivities with them.
