Cell Ghosts
This photo was taken whle I was on a tour of the Eastern State Penitentiary Museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was a cold gray day, perfect to complement the feeling that washes over you as you tour the prisoners cells and common areas. Knowing that these cold walls were often the last place that some of these residents ever saw provided a sense of quiet reflection and reverence for the freedom and green space just onthe other side of these thick, cold walls.
