Cherry Blossoms in Washington DC

The National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC commemorates the gift of cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo City in 1912. The trees were donated to celebrate and enhance the growing relationship between the USA and Japan, and the blooms are still a stunning sight to behold.
