Cherry-Faced Meadowhawk perched on a grass panicle

A Cherry-Faced Meadowhawk suns herself on a grass stalk in our backyard prairie patch which used to be non-native lawn grass three years ago. This photograph is a testament to Mother Nature in all her exquisite beauty, only a small demonstration of what is possible when we let her work her miracles unimpeded.
