Chestnut-headed Bee-eater removing a sting from a bee

There are 26 species of Bee-eaters in the world with 5 species seen in Malaysia. The most common endemic species is the Chestnut-headed Bee-eater. Bees are the most common insects captured and when captured in flight the bee is squeezed or beaten to extract the sting before consumption.
