It is hard for me to contemplate the timing of this photograph, even after witnessing the scene firsthand. As an avid surfer, ocean photography is my passion, yet this image displays something I have only seen once, and will probably never see again. The flight of the birds, in chevron formation, lined up perfectly with a frothy, cresting wave, creating a surreal ocean scene of perfect symmetry.
