Chickee Camping in the Everglades

Chickees are unique to the Everglades National Park. They are small wooden platforms designed for one or two small tents, stand freely in water and are accessible only by boat. Most of them offer an amazing view of the wide open skies and waterscapes that dominate the low profile Everglades. Spending a night on a chickee is an amazing experience as you watch the nigh sky unfold and listen to the noises of the Everglades.
