Children of coal miners waiting in open cast coal mine for their parents to return from mining work

Children of coal miners waiting in open cast coal mine for their parents to return from mining work. I admire the girl's smile amidst such uncertainties and adversities. Life is all about hope and courage to face any situation. So much to learn from the inhabitats of these mine duellers. Bhowra has abundant coal resource and open caste mines operate in this region which is run by BCCL and it’s outsourced organisation. Many of the inhabitants of this place are working on these mines and a majority have chosen easy alternative of coal scavenging which is illegal and risky. Mortality rate is high due to the segment of unskilled people getting into mines and scavenge coal. They make charcoal out of raw coal they collect and sell in local market.
