This photo was taken in a park inside a public housing estate. These parks are one of the few areas where one can see greenery in Kowloon. One of the favourite pastimes for those living there is Chinese chess. In a city where the feeling of community is ever diminishing Chinese chess brings together strangers, allowing more communication and fostering a sense of belonging.
