This night bazaar (pasar malam in Malay) is only held during the month before Chinese New Year at the Nine Emperor Gods Temple in Penang, Malaysia. The market is bustling with life every night and a variety of things ranging from clothing to kitchen utensils are sold here; there are also numerous local food booths at the back of the bazaar. Merchants can be heard shouting about their merchandise and customers can be heard bargaining with them.
