Chinese water deer running
This deer was photographed close to my home in Suffolk, UK. The Chinese water deer is an introduced species in the UK. It is now widespread in eastern England and it favours wetland areas. This one was on a nature reserve called North Warren which belongs to the RSPB. The running action is said to resemble that of a large hare, with the back legs thrown upwards.
