The photo shows a short bridge crossing over a shallow creek on the Solstice Canyon Trail in Malibu, California. With all the brush surrounding the bridge, I liked that from a certain vantage point, its passage was unknown. I saw great potential to suggest a magical bridge, like the mythical Chinvat Bridge that separated the world of the living from the world of the dead. I could only hope that the four-eyed hounds of hell were not waiting for me on the other side.
