Chou blanc [White cabbage]

In French, "faire chou blanc", litterally " to do white cabbage" means "to fail". I can't remember when I started to think on idiomatic expressions as real images — some time last year, in between two lockdowns I guess. Each idiomatic expression is a story in itself, but what if we take them quite litterally, in order to make them tell an altogether totally different one? Lockdowns has distorted our reality and the way we relate to ourselves in such an extent that suddenly, the absurd seems quite normal and alternative narratives a safe haven where the mind can thrive. This image is the first one of a series on idioms.
