20th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Travel
City in Covid Lockdown
During Covid, the border between Canada and USA was closed to tourists. We were in Fort Erie, Ontario and the Peace Bridge to Buffalo NY was closed, thus we could only see Buffalo from the shoreline in Fort Erie. Buffalo appeared to be gloomy and dull from our vantage point, yet the clouds overhead seemed to indicate a better time is coming.
