I noticed flocks of gulls flying by. Initially, I captured them against the city skyline, but I wanted to add more depth to the image. While scouting, I came across a see- through pillar-like structure adorned with fairy lights. Inspired by its potential as a creative foreground, I decided to photograph the gulls through it.I love how the out-of-focus light bokeh with an urban environment, contrasts with the freedom of the flying gull—a portrayal of altered habitats and new realities.
