12th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Travel
Climbing an off-road trail in the island of Ibiza facing Es Vedra Rock.
This photo was taken in order to capture the surreal beauty of the island and one of its most famous natural landmarks. Myself as a subject, in order to project an adventurous stance I raised my hands in the air as to grasp the moment in that moment. The colors of the sea, the rock formation, and the lighting depicted how beautiful and simple a photo can be with no alterations.
