16th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Travel
Climbing out of Bingham, Maine
This photo was captured on the second day of a 370 mile bike packing tour of Maine. At the time, the group of five riders had completed around 50 out of a 70 mile day, incurred two flat tires (by the same rider), and countless breaks with out 80lb bikes. This moment captures the silence and reward at the top of our days highest peak.
