After walking for miles along the Hacienda Trail in the highlands of Ecuador, our guide and small group of tired but enthusiastic walkers arrived at Hacienda Cusin. The Hacienda, a restored 17th century estate, is located at 8,500 feet and is surrounded by 7 acres of gardens. Wandering in the garden after a brief rain storm, I came across this beautiful succulent, with the light shining right on the water droplets. What a miracle of nature!
