Mississippi holds a lot of rich history, and slow pace of life, especially in the Delta. As a landscape photographer I wanted to capture something that I felt represented Mississippi landscape. It's well known for its vast agriculture, people and cartoon like clouds. On the way to the famous HWY 61, or blues highway. Coming from Starkville my wife and I stopped on the side of the road on 82 right before HWY 61 and 82 meet and captured what I call "Cloud 9", another word for happiness, which is what I felt when I knew I had a good shot. A singular massive thunderhead in the entire sky with the flat everyday landscape as well as, a typical cartoon sky in Mississippi.
