Along a jungle stream on the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica, I came across this clutch of frog eggs suspended from a leaf. These eggs, nearly ready to hatch, each housed a wriggling tadpole. Soon, the eggs will hatch, and the tadpoles will drop into the stream below to begin the next phase of their lives.
