COEXISTANCE

A photograph taken during sunrise from Sahat Echouhada, a public space situated in downtown algiers, which is like a palimpses, composed of different historical stratas. In this composition, I want to show the coexistence of two architectures rom différent périods: The jamaa al-jdiid mosque dating from the ottoman colonialism, and The Chambre de Commerce, in the background, dating from the french colonialism period. The Whole is unified by the free flying birds and the woman with red.
