Coexistence

Gangetic river dolphin is an endangered species though once abandoned in the river Brahmaputra and it's tributaries in Assam, North East of India. There are some areas where it still survives but due to rapid population growth gradually human and dolphins are vying for territory. Though the people in this area is very tolerable towards them and to some extent aware of environmental issues, they use the same waterbody, the villager for transportation and the dolphin for fishing.
