Colorful casitas de Yauco is something that everyone that visits Puerto Rico should see. While on my visit in May 2021 we went on a chincoreo (tour of the island on a school bus) Our driver accidently went up a street that led us to this beautiful sight. We were all surprised, even the driver. from my understanding these homes were abandoned after Maria, the community decided to take that "eye sore" and make it into something beautiful. The houses are abandoned and people are allowed to climb up the steps to get a better view. It must be an amazing sight because it sits so hi on that mountain. My regret was not climbing it and snapping pictures (maybe next year)
