Worshiping Goddess Durga is the biggest festival of West Bengal, India. Married women take part in the Sindur(Vermilion) Khela whereby they offer ritual farewell to the Goddess. They collect sindur from the forehead of the idol of Mother Durga smearing each other with it to bid farewell to the Durga.
