By no stretch is this a representation of what your eye would see however, in my mind's eye, this is pretty close to what I had as a concept for Comet Lovejoy. I knew going into it that I didn't have the artillery necessary to capture a detailed still image, so I opted for a star stack of the comet and the surrounding stars.
