Comet NEOWISE Rises Over Shenandoah National Park

I had to make an attempt at C/2020 F3 NEOWISE before it really started to fade and depart for the outer reaches of our solar system. Here's NEOWISE from Shenandoah National Park on the morning of July 12th, 2020. I was thrilled that I was able to capture both the bright dust tail and dimmer ion tail (bluish) with longer exposures. This shot was captured from the top of Blackrock Summit in Shenandoah NP looking to the east, with the light dome of Harrisonburg, VA lighting up the lower left corner of the shot.
