Condor #87 soars above his confirmed nesting area, Battleship Formation, in the Grand Canyon. No. 87 is currently about 20 years old and lives in the Canyon with his mate, #280 (as of 2014). Condors were reintroduced to the Grand Canyon area (approx. 30 miles north) in December 1996.
