I visited a coal mine in western region of China where steam locomotives are still in real operation last winter. Before pandemic, thousands of fans from overall of world come to worship these living fossils. I found that I was almost only tourist in the town near the coal mine due to strict travel restrictions during the pandemic. During the three days, I took photos of those steel monsters and was invited into the cab to experience their routine works by the drivers
